Hi 🔥 I'm YoTi

I’m on a serious journey to genuinely master the “C lang”, not just to write it.

"Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM)"

Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) is a type of semiconductor memory widely used in computers for its high storage density and cost-effectiveness.

DRAM stores each bit of data in a capacitor and a transistor within a memory cell.

Unlike Static random access memory (SRAM), DRAM requires periodic refreshing to maintain data integrity, as the capacitor's charge can leak away over time.

This refreshing process makes DRAM slower than SRAM but allows it to offer more storage at a lower cost. DRAM is volatile, meaning it loses all stored data when power is turned off. It is commonly used as the main system memory in computers due to its balance of affordability and large capacity.
